My daily commute home from work takes me through Chester, past the site of the former Cheshire Constabulary headquarters. This used to be a large 1960s style building, overlooking the racecourse . The police recently moved headquarters to a new purpose built location, closer to the source of most of Chester's crime. The old headquarters was then demolished to make way for a new building, with shops and flats overlooking the racecourse. The new flats will no doubt be priced quite highly, like all property in Chester. When the demolition was taking place, there was boarding up around the site. Since it has finished, the boarding has now been painted, and has logos on, to make it look expensive, and well branded.

Part of the branding is a website - HQ Chester. Unfortunately they forgot to actually put anything on the website yet. Far from the perfect marketing campaign...
